WEEK 2 TERM 4

Welcome to Week 2 of Term 4! We’ve had an exciting start to the term, filled with wonderful learning experiences and events for our students. Here are some of the highlights from the past weeks:

Interschool Athletics

Last week, our talented athletes represented Gowrie Street at the Interschool Athletics Carnival. We couldn’t be prouder of their determination and sportsmanship as they competed in various track and field events. A huge congratulations to everyone who participated—you did an amazing job, and your hard work paid off! Well done to Julie Layola and Mahlee Ellis who both made it to the next level.

Melbourne Chamber Orchestra & Allara Briggs Workshop

We were thrilled to welcome the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra back to our school for their final workshop, led by the incredibly talented Allara Briggs. Our students were mesmerized by the music and had a fantastic time learning from professional musicians. It was a special opportunity for them to explore different instruments and to do some beautiful singing in language.

Grade 5/6 at GoTafe – Learning Through Lunch Program

Our Grade 5/6 students had a fantastic experience at GoTafe’s "Learning Through Lunch" program. This initiative gave them the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning while enjoying a delicious meal. They explored different career pathways, developed practical skills, and interacted with industry professionals. The students returned with new insights and excitement about future learning and career possibilities.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to these wonderful events and learning experiences. We look forward to another exciting and productive week and term at Gowrie Street.
