REMINDER- CHECK COMPASS CALENDAR FOR IMPORTANT DATES

NAIDOC CELEBRATION

Today we saw our school community come together for a wonderful NAIDOC celebration. A day of fun activities centered around celebrating the rich culture of our First Nations including whole school house games of Boma Jokee, Kai and Kolap, culminating in a beautiful assembly of dances and performances. We had a few families down for afternoon tea which was lovely. Well done to everyone for the work they put into the day.

REAL SCHOOLS

Gowrie Street has been on a journey for the last year with REAL SCHOOLS supporting us to build a positive school culture. Our wonderful facilitator has made some great videos to share with you to explain this journey. This is the first in a series of videos that explains how we are working to make Gowrie Street a truly restorative school. This first video is aimed at new schools and even though we have been doing this since last year, this will be helpful to new families or anyone who isn't aware of what this is all about.
