100 DAYS OF SCHOOL

On Monday 24th July, F1A and F1B celebrated 100 days of school with the theme ‘100 Days Brighter’. Students came dressed in bright colours and staff were proudly wearing their ‘100 Day Brighter’ t-shirts. Students spent the day exploring activities around the number 100. A favourite amongst the students was the number hunt. This took them outside into the playground to look for the numbers 1 to 100. Lots of teamwork was needed to complete this task.

A favourite activity in Mrs Byrnes’ room was the ‘how many times can you write your name in 100 seconds challenge. Many staff also took part in the challenge with Ms Chapman leading the scoreboard with a score to 60!

In Ms Martin’s room, they were challenged with blowing up balloons in 100 seconds then, keeping them in the air for 100 touches! They were so busy they didn’t know it was home time.

A day of celebration wouldn’t be the same without food. Fairy bread and decorated cookies were enjoyed by the students, staff, parents and younger siblings. We would like to thank all the parents, grandparents and carers who came to celebrate with us. The students ended the day by being awarded a ‘100 Days Brighter’ certificate with a packet of Smarties attached- of course.

They have grown so much smarter in their 100 days at school!
