A Fantastic Start to the Year!
Congratulations to all our students, staff, and families for an outstanding first two weeks of the school year! It has been wonderful to see our school community come together with enthusiasm, dedication, and a positive mindset. The energy in the classrooms, playgrounds, and learning spaces has set a strong foundation for a successful year ahead.
Our Focus for 2025: High Expectations
At Gowrie Street, we are committed to fostering a culture of high expectations. We believe that every student is capable of achieving success, and we will continue to provide the support, guidance, and encouragement needed to help them reach their full potential.
This year, we will focus on:
Setting clear learning goals and encouraging students to take ownership of their progress.
Creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
Strengthening partnerships between teachers, families, and the community to support student learning.
Celebrating achievements, big and small, to reinforce confidence and motivation.
We are excited for what this year will bring and look forward to working together to make 2025 a year of excellence for all our students.
Grade 4-6 Camp
The grade 4/5/6's went to Queenscliff this week on camp. We went bike riding, boogie boarding, surfing, pizza making and beach activities. We did night walks on the beach. Some of the kids did early morning runs/walks. The first night we had pasta for dinner and chocolate mousse for dessert. The second night we had roast chicken, potatoe, carrots, peas and gravy with ices cream and chocolate sauce for dessert. The third day we went to Princess Park, the museum about the ocean and it took 4 hours to get home. My favourite part was boogie boarding and pizza making!
